Golf Course Architecture - Green Pages 2026

21 Bella Ridge in Colorado is a new course designed by Art Schaupeter, vice president at TCS irrigation system at Tustin Ranch in California. Installation of the 2,200-head system began in late March and was wrapped up in October. The club was able to keep 16 holes open at all times as TCS worked through the summer under the guidance of irrigation designer Kevin Plageman. Later in the summer, TCS took on maintenanceassistance projects at a pair of top Arizona private clubs. At Whisper Rock, a crew worked with the superintendent on desert area de-vegetation and clean-up to open lines of play and sightlines in preparation for the high season of golf. Meanwhile, over at Paradise Valley in Arizona, a TCS crew worked with the club’s maintenance staff to strip out turf and convert it to desert areas with substantial desert planting and drip irrigation installed. On the agronomic services front, TCS completed fraze mowing work at the Arizona Athletic Grounds as the facility prepares its soccer fields for hosting qualifying games for the World Cup. Additional services performed by the Agronomic Solutions division of TCS included fairway aerification at the Boulders, shockwave and root pruning at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona, and similar services at a number of other courses. Schaupeter, vice president of TCS, contributed design services on a variety of projects including the bunker renovation at Quincy CC, a one-hole remodel and reconstruction at St. Joseph CC in Missouri and a couple of masterplanning services for clubs that are lining up renovation projects. Bella Ridge Golf Club, Schaupeter’s latest new 18-hole design, also had a preview opening in October 2025, with a grand opening scheduled for summer 2026. It was a busy and successful year for TCS as the company pivoted to a wider range of services. The priority for TCS, as the 2026 construction season starts to approach, is to continue with the foundation of well-executed projects that was established in 2025.
